We were unexpectedly obliged to stay overnight in Bucharest after our flight was cancelled due to a snowstorm. We checked into the MyContinental hotel, where the staff recommended a restaurant just across the street. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our waiter — and also talented painter — Ciprian. He suggested we try the local beer, Zăganu, which turned out to be an excellent recommendation. Absolutely delicious. We were served nuts to start, and we quickly noticed the fun local custom: everyone simply drops the shells on the floor. It adds to the relaxed and authentic atmosphere. The paintings on the walls are impressive and give the place real character. For dinner, we chose the lamb tenderloin with grilled vegetables — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A genuinely great place to go if you’re in Bucharest. Warm service, great food, and a memorable atmosphere.

Great food, unpretentious and delicious. Nice service, friendly staff. Aaaannnnd... The best bit is that you're being served generous amounts of nuts and you're encouraged to throw the husks on the floor. Which is way more fun than you think.

Food was very delicious, the staff was warm and welcoming - although during the eating we felt eyes behind our back - maybe a staff was a little bit too welcoming. The food was perfectly seasoned, balanced, the drinks were stunning and fantastic! And don’t bother the mess - because nutshells must be on the floor! Thank you so much for having us 🩷

Excellent service and delicious food! One weird, quirky thing - they serve peanuts and you are supposed to throw the shells straight on the floor. Pretty weird and it felt unnatural at the beginning, but somehow fun.

attention to detail in the service, varied menu, peaceful atmosphere and a unique Grivița lamb shank...all this with some peanut shells that must be thrown on the floor
