I went to have dinner with 7 friends. We had just arrived from Spain and the food was a pleasant surprise. The waiter recommended portion sizes and he was right. We ordered 3 servings of the chef's selection and 1 butter chicken, plus dessert (cheesecake and pudding with toffe). Everything was delicious. It wasn't cheap, but it was a great choice.

Phenomenal! I have never tasted butter chicken like it in my life! We had hummus with focaccia, butter chicken, fillet steak, fillet steak with peppercorn sauce, spicy veg salad and crushed potatoes! Along with a savvy b wine…the nicest food we ate in Bucharest 100%! Service was incredible! Ali was an amazing host!!!!!!

Are We There Yet?

Restaurant located in the heart of Old Town Bucharest (next to Caru cu bere). Visited on a deemed public holiday after New Year’s Day, with many of the Old Town restaurants closed. Restaurant was busy on this day, customers without a reservation offered seating at a few stools or small tables along the kitchen area. Maitre de was overly energetic, bouncing off the walls, but was reminded to settle down, and stop hurrying us. Sat where the non reservation customers sat, along the open kitchen area. Good menu offering simple but delicious middle eastern fare, specializing in open-fire grilled food and brunch. Ordered: BBQ padrón peppers (excellent, delicious), hummus with za’atar and toasted focaccia strips (also delicious, not too oily). Mains: Terracota experience for 2, (cherry tomatoes and padrón peppers plus focaccia inside pot), served with meat/fish skewer. Pork collar slightly tough but Lamb kofta was excellent, tender, juicy. Served with a parsley, onion and sumac plus 2 side sauces. Plus a side of green salad. The serving size was adequate (not too huge). Food was served relatively quickly. Suits brunch, lunch or dinner. Food was excellent and simple. Recommend.

One of those restaurants you absolutely must try! The space is elegant and spotless, creating the perfect atmosphere. The service was prompt and polite, and the food was delicious, featuring high-quality ingredients. Overall, a flawless experience that is well worth a visit very soon

We ordered the avo on toast with halloumi & poached eggs, shakshuka and the cheesy crispy crushed potatoes for breakfast 🍳 Each dish was very delicious on its own. The portions were large and quite filling. The service was also fast, and the staff were friendly 😊 We went at opening time on the weekend without a reservation and were able to find a table, but most of the other tables were reserved. So making a reservation might be a safer option. The total bill for our table, including coffee and tea, was 200 RON (€40). I think the price is very good considering the taste and how filling the dishes are 👍🏼
